About Me
I’ve spent more than a decade working at the intersection of video, photography, and digital media. I started out in video editing, then moved into filming and producing, working across commercials, documentaries, TV shows, music videos, and corporate productions. Over the years I also became deeply involved in marketing, sales, and user psychology — helping shape more than a hundred online courses and learning how people actually think, feel, and make decisions when they look at a screen.
In 2022 I stepped away from constant video production and found my way into photography. I bought my first autofocus lens and began shooting every day, without briefs or deadlines. What began as an experiment quickly became something much more personal — a way to slow down, to observe, and to turn ordinary moments into something meaningful and visually alive.
I approach photography the same way I approach storytelling: by paying attention. Whether it’s a quiet landscape or a fleeting human expression, I’m drawn to things that feel real and unrepeatable. I try to create images that don’t just look good, but that carry the emotional weight of the moment in which they were made.
Alongside all of this, I’ve always been a builder. I write code, design websites, and have spent years creating digital products and platforms from the ground up. That technical side shapes how I think about images too — how they are used, shared, and experienced by real people in the real world.
To make this work useful beyond my own screen, I’ve released a large part of my photography for free. You can find the images here or on my Unsplash profile, and you’re welcome to download and use them in your own projects. If they help you tell a story, then they’re already doing their job.

Photography Journey
I’ve always believed photographs are meant to live out in the world, not sit on a hard drive. That idea is what shaped my entire photography journey. Over the years I’ve taken well over 100,000 images, and I chose to share a large part of them on Unsplash so anyone can download, use, and build with them.
Below you’ll see the timeline of that journey — how it started, how it grew, and how those images found their way into projects, brands, and stories all over the world.

Bought my first camera and uploaded 1 photo to Unsplash.
Before this I was mainly editing all sorts of different videos. So when I bought my first camera I also bought 3 manual focus lenses as I was planning on filming content mainly. I took this photo using an oldschool lens called Helios 44-2 (58mm, F2) that I bought for 25€. I uploaded it to unsplash on 18th of june. Months later when I visited unsplash I saw that this photo was featured and had hundred thousand + views. That sparked something in me.

Added 36 new photos to Unsplash. First image with 1M+ views.
In 2019 I joined CXL as a video editor and got a change to attend CXL Live in Austin, Texas. Our initial flight was delayed hours, we missed the US flight. Walking in the Amsterdam airport took this photo and uploaded it to unsplash. My top 5 on unsplash still today. Tens of thousands of downloads, hundreds of blogs & articles have used this.

Added 10 photos to Unsplash
I finally bought two new lenses - Sigma Art 24-70 2.8 & Sigma Art 14-24 2.8. I took this photo in the family summerhouse in Saaremaa, in August. Without a tripod, stacking logs under my camera on the ground to reduce camera shake.

Added 41 new images. 1.4M views in January.
Wanted to add 1 new photo to Unsplash every day for 365 days. Ran out of inspiration by February.

3M views in one month, 8M in 1 year. Added 52 new photos.
Sigma 24-70 2.8 art and sigma 14-24 2.8 art. Best desicion gear wise Ive ever done. I also gradually stated taking more photos. In 2022 I quit my job, took some time off and started taking pictures everyday.

Added 106 new photos. 7M views in 1 month. 36M views in 2023.
My photos exploded. I got my photo as a Photo Of The Day 3 times! Im constantly top 500 most viewed/downloaded contributer past 30 days. To this day 4 of my most most viewed photos on Unsplash were shot & uploaded in 2023.

Added 146 new photos to Unsplash
In 2024 I added photos from around the World. From Hong Kong skyscrapers to Miami beach. Turkish street photos to Austrian alps. The most viewed photo from 2024 was this photo taken in Orissaare, Saaremaa.

So far 39 new photos this year.
This year I was really lucky to get several changes to capture crazy Aurora Borealis. Had one photo featured as a photo of the day. Looking very forward to capture Milky Way and stars this August.
My Goal?
One billion people pausing – even for just a moment – to look at a photo I took. Not for fame or money, but for the quiet thought that these moments could live online forever, inspiring someone decades from now.
If you’d like to walk that journey with me, I’ve condensed everything I know about photography into a 60‑minute course designed to help you create and share your own story.
